Lodi Newcomers Club luncheon

The Lodi Newcomers Club’s June luncheon will be held at the Elks Lodge at 19671 N. Lower Sacramento Road in Woodbridge on June 8. There will be a picnic-style lunch, so wear picnic clothes — no short shorts! Choices for lunch are pulled pork sandwiches or fried chicken. The social will begin at 11 a.m., with the meeting to follow at 11:30 and lunch at 11:45. Reservatio­ns must be made by June 4. Delta Tule Trekkers Monthly Meeting in Lathrop

Join the friendly folks at Delta Tule Trekkers, a local, non-competitiv­e walking club that meets monthly and plans group walks. The club will hold its next monthly meeting on June 12 at Café Platano, 14725 S. Harland Road, Lathrop. Plans for the club’s upcoming traditiona­l walks will be discussed. Delta Tree Farms Nursery

Delta Tree Farms will offer a free workshop, “Water Conservati­on In The Home Landscape” on Saturday. The workshop, presented by San Joaquin Master Gardeners, will run from 10 a.m. to noon at the nursery. Refreshmen­ts will be served and there will be a native plant raffle. The nursery is at 12900 N. Computer classes at the Lodi Public Library

The Lodi Public Library will hold the following computer classes:

• Computer Basics: Computer, Internet and email basics for beginners. The three-session class will be held at 9 a.m. June 7, 8 and 14.

• MS Word: Tabs, Tables and Forms: Advanced Microsoft Word techniques for students who are already very familiar with Word and/or have completed our 4-day Microsoft Word course after June 2016. The four-session class will be held at 9 a.m. June 12, 13, 19 and 20.
