STELLA I. ‘WEEKS’ WAGEMAN

1922-2017

Stella I. “Weeks” Wageman passed away on Friday, May 26th, 2017, at the age of 95. She was born in Kingsmill Texas to Oscar & Clona Walker on May 20th 1922. She moved with her family to California in 1937.

Many will remember her at the Galt Bakery where she worked for many years. She later worked at the Galt Frostie and then Spaans Cookies until she retired at the age of 73.

Stella enjoyed going to thrift stores followed by a nice lunch. Afterwards she would often bring home tidbits to all the stray cats she had given homes to over the years.

Stella was known to always keep busy around the home. From general upkeep & remodeling her home, to keeping her wonderfully manicured yard in pristine condition.

To pass the time in the evenings, Stella enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, as well as making Afghans.

Mom enjoyed visiting with her grandkids and great grandkids. She was also known for making her chocolate muffins and delicious pies.

Stella is survived by her sons, Erwin (Linda K.) & Ivan (Linda S.), her grandchildren Ryan (Mariella), Michele, Amy (Jeremy), and her great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Adrian, Joey, Xavier, and Adison.

Family and friends are welcome to viewing at Ben Salas Funeral Home, 149 4th Street, Galt, Ca 95632 on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 11am-6pm. Graveside Services will he held at, Galt Arno Cemetery, 14180 Joy Drive, Galt, CA 95632 on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 1pm. Afterwards please join us for a luncheon reception to be announced.
