Having lived a fulfilling life, Marge Degenstein passed away on June 1st, 2017 peacefully at her Lodi home at the age of 81. Marge is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Edward Degenstein.

Born January 19th, 1936 to Nelberdine and Marvin Miller in Minot, North Dakota, Marge and Ed relocated to Fremont, Ca in 1959 where they planted their roots and soon started their family. In 1993, Ed and Marge moved to Lodi where they spent their golden years. Marge was actively involved with the UAW retiree’s and The Daughters of Isabella with St Anne’s Church. Marge’s biggest and favorite roll in life was that as grandmothe­r including many children in the community who adopted her as their grandmothe­r.

Marge is also survived by her son Greg and his wife Keli, her daughter Lori Gerick, and the pride of her life, her 9 Grandchild­ren, Tommy and his wife Annika, Shane, Drake, Gage, Brenton, Mikayla, Meagan, Samuel & Haley and her 2 great grandchild­ren, Owen and Tatum.

Marge also leaves behind siblings, Marlys Kesler, Mary Sink and Marvin Miller Jr. along with many nieces and nephews.

Marge is now reunited with her parents, along with her sisters, Marylyn Petersen, Millie O’Brien, and her brothers Milton &Michael Miller.

In lieu of Flowers, the family requests donations to Vitas Hospice Care who provided impeccable service and care during her final days.

A celebratio­n of life with a catholic mass will be held on June 8th, 2017 at 10:00am at St Anne’s church in Lodi, Ca. A special viewing will be held for friends and family on June 7th, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Cherokee Memorial, located at 831 Industrial Way in Lodi, Ca. A rosary will be held at 6:30pm on June 7th also at the Funeral Home.
