Lodi’s businesses have been getting a tough break this week.

In the early morning hours of Monday, Lodi police officers responded to an alarm at a Wing Stop in the Reynolds Ranch shopping center where they found a window had been smashed and the cash register pried open, according to police.

While investigating the surrounding area, officers reportedly found that the Five Guys restaurant and the Home Depot had met with similar fates.

No suspects have been identified yet.

On Wednesday morning, officers received a call reporting shots fired and responded to a smoke shop on the 100 block of North Cherokee Lane.

At 9:28 a.m., officers discovered a 26-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds, who was subsequently transported to San Joaquin General Hospital, according to police.

The victim reportedly received medical treatment for his wounds, which were not life-threatening, although he was allegedly uncooperative with police officers when questioned about the incident.

Police said they are waiting to review surveillance footage before continuing their investigation.

On Wednesday night, the Lodi police and fire departments responded to a young man injured at the Lodi Library.

According to police, two young men were drinking behind the library.

At 10 p.m., officers allegedly responded to a call when one unnamed young man, 19, shattered his leg while attempting to retrieve his keys.

The keys in question had reportedly fallen down a grate meant to protect people from falling down onto concrete on the outside the library’s basement, behind a curb where the two young men were drinking.

The young man was reportedly rescued by the Lodi Fire Department.

It is unknown whether either of the young men were taken into custody, or if they will be charged with any crimes.
