Tail-waggers
Lovebug is an approximately 5-year-old spayed Labrador retriever/pitbull terrier mix. This sweetheart of a dog is very happy and outgoing, and she loves meeting new people and making new friends.
Lovebug absolutely loves being around people. She’s not shy about wanting to be pet, either — she’ll plop down right in front of you and roll over on her back for an extended belly rubbing session. She does have an energetic side, and she will start chasing after tennis balls, but she usually turns around halfway to them to come back for some more love and attention.
Lovebug knows the commands “sit” and “down,” though continued basic obedi- ence training is recommended. She is very treat-motivated, but — perhaps because of that — she could stand to lose a few pounds to reach a healthier weight for a dog her stature. Lovebug walks well on a leash, so daily walks, along with regular exercise and a healthy diet, will help her immensely.

••• Sissy is an adorable and sweet 12- to 14-week-old terrier mixed with possibly Maltese. Sissy plays well with other dogs, including her foster famly’s three dachshunds.
Sissy loves to sleep on a person during the day. Sissy sleeps in a kennel at night, so is crated-trained. She is working on her house manners and is mostly housetrained. She is very playful and loves playing with any dog toy.
Sissy’s vaccinations are current, and she has been dewormed, deflead and spayed. She is a petite puppy and will be a small dog as an adult. Due to her small size, a home with no small children is preferred.

Wendy is an 18-month-old, primarily white domestic short hair. She is a beautiful, loving kitty who was rescued from a very rough life on the streets of Stockton.
Wendy’s gorgeous, deep, blue eyes are both a blessing and a curse. Like many mostly white, blue-eyed cats, Wendy is deaf. With Wendy’s inability to hear, her street life was extremely terrifying for her. Dogs and other cats in the neighborhood would sneak up and torment her.
Wendy is an indoor-only cat, like all Second Chance Kitties, but her white coat, pink ears and nose make it possible for her to sunburn easily. Between that and her lack of hearing, she must remain safely indoors.
Wendy is very loving and enjoys being pet, but she prefers not like to be held. Wendy does adjust and with patience and time to adjust, she can live peacefully with other non-aggressive cats and well-behaved medium to smaller dogs. She is not comfortable with large dogs.
Wendy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, deflead, FeLV/FIV negative and available for adoption.
