County food surplus distribution

Low-income residents of San Joaquin County will be able to obtain free government-surplus food on Thursday in Lodi from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Lodi Community Center, 415 S. Sacramento St., for those living in zip codes 95240, 95241, 95242, 95220, and 95632; in Lockeford from 9 a.m. to noon at Adventist Community Service, 19990 Elliott Road, for those living in zip codes 95227, 95237, 95253 and 95254; in Woodbridge from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 673 Woodbridge Road, for those living in zip code 95258; and in Thornton from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at New Hope School, 26675 N. Sacramento Blvd., for those living in zip code 95686.

Those participating must bring proof of address (e.g. utility bill) and a grocery bag to help with distribution. Distribution will end early if food runs out.

Native Sons of the Golden West crab feed

cracked crab, pasta, salad, garlic bread, wine and dessert.

Vineyard Christian Middle School crab feed

The eighth-graders at Vineyard Christian Middle School are hosting a crab feed at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the school, 2301 W. Lodi Ave., Lodi. Proceeds will help pay for the class trip to Washington, D.C. Tickets are $60 per person. Call 209-333-8300.

Mudville Bears crab feed

The Mudville Bears 12u baseball team is hosting the Road to Cooperstown crab feed at 7 p.m. Saturday at the JACL Hall, 210 E. Elm St., Lodi. A social hour will begin at 6 p.m.

A DJ, dancing and raffle will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. Enjoy all-you-can-eat crab, salad, bread and pasta. Proceeds will help the Mudville Bears travel to Cooperstown, N.Y. Tickets are $50 per person. Visit “Mudville Bears” on Facebook or email
