ROWENA PATRICK

-

Rowena Patrick passed away peacefully and joined the angels surrounded by friends and loved ones in her home on December 11, 2017. She is now at peace and in a better place with a new set of wings. Rodie, as she liked to be called, was a beacon of light and inspiration to all that knew her. From her days as a young nurse until the time she took or last breath, she left a truly positive mark on the hearts of everyone she met.

Born on October 27, 1938 to Charles and Esther Willard in Hanford California, she grew up on a farm driving tractors long before she could legally drive, and eventually went onto nurses school to became a home health nurse. She had an independent and pioneering spirit and never let anything get in her way. From her days as a young mom sharing her love for the Delta with her son, David, and dragging him everywhere she went. She could pilot a yacht better than most men, and could out drink them as well. As time and age grew on, she became an active member of the Woman’s Club of Lodi and served in various roles and capacities. Her smile was infectious and would brighten every room she walked into.

Rodie is survived by her son David, and her two sisters, Joyce and Susan. She will always be loved by her family, friends and all that knew her.

Rest in Peace and Fly with The Angels.

Rodie always loved a good party, and would want all to share a good memory and a fun time. A celebration of life memorial will be held for Rodie on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Woman’s Club of Lodi at 325 W. Pine Street, Lodi CA 95240 at 2 pm. There will be food, drink, live music, and it will be a time to celebrate the life of this magical lady.
