Cristobal “Cris” Anthony Valenzuela IV, age 21, of Acampo passed into eternal rest on March 21, 2018.

He was born September 20th, 1996 to Cristobal and Amy Valenzuela. He grew up in Elk Grove and then Acampo attending all school years at Victor Elementary, Houston Middle School and Lodi High School, graduating in 2014. Skateboard­ing was his passion and he spent many days at the Lodi Skate Park over the years developing his skills. He progressed rapidly to skating big pools and loved to travel to skate parks around California. His fearlessne­ss and passion for the sport provided much joy in his life and he was known for his “crail slide”. Teaching other skaters tricks made him happy.

Cris was also a compassion­ate soul and had a love for animals of all kinds. He especially loved his cat, Zurgog. He was skilled at woodworkin­g, drawing and enjoyed working with his father learning the trade of constructi­on. He had a funny sense of humor and loved to make others laugh.

He is survived by his parents Cristobal and Amy Valenzuela of Acampo, sisters Candace Jordan (Michael Jordan) of Pismo Beach, Victoria Valenzuela (TJ Dohner) of San Diego, grandmothe­r Virginia Jean La Fever of Rio Vista, and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles who loved him dearly.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 30th with visitation from 10 am to 12 noon at Cherokee Memorial Park, Vineyard Chapel in Lodi. Funeral service will begin at 1 pm, followed by a graveside service. All family, friends and those who knew Cris are welcome to attend…your presence would mean so much.
