Why would anyone want to be an officer?
Editor: Gov. Jerry Brown and the Assembly, ACLU and the NAACP go all out to protect criminals and to put restrictions on police.
Why would anyone want to be a police officer? Because they would like to make a difference in the quality of life so citizens can walk the streets without being robbed or killed. In several South American countries where it is against the law to protect yourself, prohibited from owning a firearm, people are being killed for opposing criminals who will never give up their firearms.
The atmosphere in Sacramento continues showing their anti-law enforcement, anti-incarceration, leaving the citizens to fend for themselves or police without the tools to stop crime.
Why is it criminals are not held responsible for their actions? Refusing to comply with police commands, what is wrong with this picture? Don’t ask a politician, he will go with the most noise being made. We need someone in Sacramento who will see the laws of this state are carried out and not postponed and those in prison serve their terms — if overcrowded then build more prisons. The law-abiding citizens are tired of being the victims because of Sacramento. The governor says crime is down, I say that is a lie, when felonies were changed to misdemeanors crime has gotten out of control and you, sir, have done nothing about correcting that.

In praise of three-dot journalism
Editor: On Steve Mann‘s reprised three-dot journalism: Paul Zimmerman would be proud and Herb Caen would read it to the bottom. Keep it up, Steve.
