PATRICIA THERESA HARRELL (JOY)

Sept. 23, 1925 – March 26, 2018

Patricia Theresa Harrell (Joy) Sept. 23, 1925 - March 26, 2018 Pat passed peacefully on March 26, 2018, in Stockton, CA. She was 92. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she married John Robert (Bob) Harrell in 1945 and they moved to California. Bob and Pat had four children, Susan (Steve), John (Gaye), Cindy (Bill), and Patrick (Liz). Patricia is survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bob died in 1990.

Pat lived in Lodi for many years before moving to O’Connor Woods in Stockton in 2006. In Lodi she attended St. Anne’s Catholic Church and was very active in the Legion of Mary and Pastoral Care. She was very proud of receiving the Benemerenti Medal for service to the community from Pope Benedict XVI in 2007. Prior to retirement she worked for the CA Dept. of Unemployment Insurance in both San Jose and Stockton.

Our mother was the loving, caring backbone of our family. She was kind, generous and fun, not to mention a wonderful cook. The family would like to thank the staff at Laurel Pointe East at O’Connor Woods for their loving care of our mom. Rosary at St. Anne’s on Wed., April 18 at 11:00 with Mass to follow.
