Danielle Pfenning hit a tworun double to give Lodi High softball the lead for good in Monday’s 14-12 victory over St. Mary’s on Monday at Lodi Softball Complex.

Every member of the Flames’ lineup had a hit, and the team racked up 21 hits, including four triples and three doubles, in the victory. Lodi (11-11) and St. Mary’s (13-5) are now tied at 9-5 for second place in the TCAL standings, behind Tracy at 13-0. Lodi finishes the regular season against Tokay (10-11, 3-10) on Wednesday.

Pfenning finished 4-for-4 with four RBIs, Ashlee Toy went 4-for-5 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs, Alyssa Pinto was 3-for-5 with a triple, two doubles, two RBIs and two runs, Allisa Yabumoto was 3for-5 with a run, Harlie Litton was 2-for-5 with a triple, three runs and three RBIs, Shelby Feathersto­n was 2-for-4 with two runs, Johnna Schroeder had a triple, two walks, two RBIs and a run, Shelby Katzakan had a single, two walks and two runs and Marissa Fabian had a single and an RBI. Three Tigers had a pair of hits, and Hailie Beadles belted a triple, drove in two runs and scored one, but Tokay was outhit in Monday’s road loss.

Sydney Giovannoni went 2for-4 with two runs and an RBI, Kayly Pau went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Aliah Cisneros was 2-for-3 with a run. Simone Medeiros added a single, two walks and two runs, and Arianna Lozano, who pitched 5 1/3 innings, scored once.

BASEBALL

The Eagles won on an eighth-inning error off the bat of Joe Barnhardt on Monday. Barnhardt finished without a hit, but had a walk and a run.

Alexander Pinasco went 3for-4 with a double, three RBIs, Logan Kottinger was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, Nate Bond had a triple and a run, Joshua Alejandre had a triple and a run and Nick Figueroa had a single and two runs.

Elliot improved to 9-9 overall and 7-6 in the CCAA, where it sits in fifth.

TENNIS

The Hawks’ season came to an end on Monday with a close loss, with two of their losses going to a third-set tiebreaker.

Liberty Ranch’s Nick Mancebo defeated Solomon Thao 4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 at No. 2 boys singles, Belen Luna and Kaitlyn Wendell won 7-5, 6-0 at No. 2 girls doubles, Mike Pryor and Mason Ginni won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 boys doubles and Mason Smith and Hunter Franklin won 7-6 (7-1), 6-4 at No. 2 boys doubles.

At No. 1 singles, Brianna Muiruri fell in the third set to Amanda Yang at 5-7, 7-6 (7-2), 26, and at mixed doubles, the team of Kirsten Miller and Val Rodriguez lost 6-3, 2-6, 1-6 to Emma Elkins and Allen Wong.
