Vinewood Park is not a dog park

-

Editor: There has been many opinions regarding Lodi’s dog park and the tragic attacks and deaths of a few of the dogs.

Let me attempt to add a perspective.

Lodi does not have a dog park. It has a huge public area that people bring their dogs and many allow their dogs to run wild. That does not equate to a dog park.

Please explore Barkleyville in Stockton and the Kiwanis bark park in Galt. Both have a beautiful, shaded fenced area, one for larger dogs and one for smallerdogs.

Whether large or small dogs, they consist of areas much easier to manage, keep your dogs and people safe, and keep the area clean. The dog park in Galt was constructed by the Kiwanis group of Galt.

We regularly are required to take our dogs to either Stockton or Galt. We will never bring our dogs to such a large area where some people have no common sense.

I would encourage using either Barkleyville or Kiwanis bark park as excellent models where, in fact, Lodi can claim to have a dog park.

State out of control

Editor: The State of California and Jerry Brown are out of control. He let out prisoners that were sentenced to "life without possibility of parole."

This guy wants a sanctuary state and open borders. Why, is it the only way they can get votes?

I worked for a company in which management was salaried. Now everyone but the manager is on the clock, because of the state. State workers make more money versus the private sector, and call in sick anytime they please. They accrue so much vacation and time off when it is time to retire they will have a handsome check — no wonder cities and states are going broke from unfunded pensions.

Kate Steinle was killed by an illegal immigrant who had been deported five or six times. Then the liberal San Francisco jury let him off. She died in her father’s arms.

What a joke Jerry Brown and the politicians are. If Republicans ran this state you would have lower gas prices, lower taxes, but you have been brainwashed that they are the bad guys. John Kennedy was the last good Democrat. He would be a Republican if he were alive today.

Do you lock your doors to your house at night? Well we have the right to lock our border doors, and decide who comes into our house.
