Lodi chamber hosts meeting to discuss 2019 Tuscany trip
The Lodi District Chamber of Commerce hosted an informational meeting for the community on Tuesday, inviting them to join a trip to Italy in November 2019.
“The trip has something for everyone, there is wine tasting in Chianti, shopping in Florence, museums and architecture in Lucca,” said Elisa Bubak, the chamber’s director of communications.
The trip will consist of guided tours of Tuscany, with excursions in the cities of Florence, Lucca and Cinque Terre. The tour will have the leisurely pace of a cruise, and guests will be able to direct their adventures throughout the region.
Each city offers a diverse sense of Tuscany’s bountiful beauty and history. The region offers architectural beauty and rolling hills with picturesque landscapes. The history of Tuscany is brought to life through its artistic legacy, as well as its influence on high culture and wine.
Members of the community who travel with the chamber will experience a nine-day, seven-night journey to the Mediterranean country’s Tuscany region. Tickets are currently being advertised at an early-bird price of $2,799, which includes the cost of airfare.
Guests can add an extended visit into Rome for a total of two additional days. Interested patrons would need to select the extended visit in order to attend.
“Traveling is always seen as a luxurious endeavor, but we are able to broker discounts that make it affordable for everyone,” Bubak said.
The chamber has been hosting trips all over the world for some time now. This past October, a group of chamber employees and guests traveled to China.
“We have gone to Ireland and China in the past, but the desire among participants was to travel along the Mediterranean coast, which is why we selected to venture into Italy,” Bubak said.
The Lodi chamber is part of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, an international organization that encourages travel between countries.
The trip will take place from Nov. 12 to 20, 2019, and is set to depart from San Francisco International Airport.
