SJRTD of­fers lim­ited ser­vice on hol­i­days

STOCK­TON — In ob­ser­vance of Christmas and New Year’s Day, San Joaquin Re­gional Tran­sit District will not op­er­ate its reg­u­lar fixed routes, Hop­per, Dial-A-Ride or Com­muter ser­vices on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

RTD’s ad­min­is­tra­tive of­fices, Down­town Tran­sit Cen­ter and call cen­ter will also be closed.

To ac­com­mo­date cus­tomers on those days, a lim­ited de­mand-re­sponse ser­vice will be avail­able be reser­va­tion only on a first-come, first-served ba­sis. Fare is $3 per one-way trip for Amer­i­cans with Dis­abil­i­ties Act cer­ti­fied cus­tomers, and $5 per one-way trip for nonADA cus­tomers.

Reser­va­tions for Christmas Day ser­vice will be ac­cepted be­tween 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Dec. 17 to 21, and reser­va­tions for New Year’s Day ser­vices will be ac­cepted be­tween 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Dec. 24 to 28.
