SJRTD offers limited service on holidays

STOCKTON — In observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day, San Joaquin Regional Transit District will not operate its regular fixed routes, Hopper, Dial-A-Ride or Commuter services on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

RTD’s administra­tive offices, Downtown Transit Center and call center will also be closed.

To accommodat­e customers on those days, a limited demand-response service will be available be reservatio­n only on a first-come, first-served basis. Fare is $3 per one-way trip for Americans with Disabiliti­es Act certified customers, and $5 per one-way trip for nonADA customers.

Reservatio­ns for Christmas Day service will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Dec. 17 to 21, and reservatio­ns for New Year’s Day services will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Dec. 24 to 28.
