Tokay Shrine Club has a new president
The Tokay Shrine Club, part of Shrine International and Ben Ali Shrine of Sacramento, has installed Lodi’s Frank Mills as president for 2019.
Mills is a member of the pioneer Mills family that settled in Lodi in 1857. He is a farmer, growing numerous crops west of Lodi.
The ceremony was held at Woodbridge Masonic Lodge and the installing officer was Ben Ali Shrine Chief Rabban Jairo Gomez. Gomez is also the assistant grand lecturer at The Grand Masonic Lodge in San Francisco.
Gomez was assisted by Ben Ali Ambassador Noble David Weese. Also installed were Lloyd Roper (1st vice president, Gordon Spice (2nd vice president), Bill Blackford (chaplain), Jerry Crystal (treasurer) and Bill Beckman (secretary).
Tokay Shrine Club helps support the ongoing efforts of the Northern California Shriners hospitals for children in Sacramento and 22 other hospitals throughout North America. The hospitals give treatment to children at no cost to the parents, with the Sacramento hospital alone seeing 22,000 patients each year.
The hospitals treat children who have orthopedic problems, burns, spinal cord injuries, cleft lip and other complex surgical needs. For more information visit
