Tokay Shrine Club has a new pres­i­dent

The Tokay Shrine Club, part of Shrine In­ter­na­tional and Ben Ali Shrine of Sacra­mento, has in­stalled Lodi’s Frank Mills as pres­i­dent for 2019.

Mills is a mem­ber of the pi­o­neer Mills fam­ily that set­tled in Lodi in 1857. He is a farmer, grow­ing nu­mer­ous crops west of Lodi.

The cer­e­mony was held at Wood­bridge Ma­sonic Lodge and the in­stalling of­fi­cer was Ben Ali Shrine Chief Rab­ban Jairo Gomez. Gomez is also the as­sis­tant grand lec­turer at The Grand Ma­sonic Lodge in San Fran­cisco.

Gomez was as­sisted by Ben Ali Am­bas­sador No­ble David Weese. Also in­stalled were Lloyd Roper (1st vice pres­i­dent, Gor­don Spice (2nd vice pres­i­dent), Bill Black­ford (chap­lain), Jerry Crys­tal (trea­surer) and Bill Beck­man (sec­re­tary).

Tokay Shrine Club helps sup­port the on­go­ing ef­forts of the North­ern Cal­i­for­nia Shriners hos­pi­tals for chil­dren in Sacra­mento and 22 other hos­pi­tals through­out North Amer­ica. The hos­pi­tals give treat­ment to chil­dren at no cost to the par­ents, with the Sacra­mento hos­pi­tal alone see­ing 22,000 pa­tients each year.

The hos­pi­tals treat chil­dren who have or­tho­pe­dic prob­lems, burns, spinal cord in­juries, cleft lip and other com­plex sur­gi­cal needs. For more in­for­ma­tion visit
