Flames drop a close one to Wolf Pack
Lodi High’s boys basketball team dropped an 80-72 loss to West on Monday, despite 14 points from Colton Stout and a double-double from Nathan Shoup, who had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Chase Shafter had nine points and seven assists, Marcell Robets had nine points, Matt Nickel had eight points and 13 boards, Logan Stout had eight points, Trevor Jackson had seven and Andreas Pappas had six.
West 75, Tokay 68
Mohammad Ibrahim scored 25 points and Austyn Reiswig had 24, but the Tigers fell to the Wolf Pack on Monday.
Adam Jonson added nine, Gurveer Badyal and Michael Shoaib had three each, and Hamza El Kheiki and Nate Starkovich had two each.
Brookside 80, Elliot 31
Nate Gotgotao-Washington scored 12 points for Elliot Christian (2-2 in the Central California Athletic Alliance, 3-15) in Saturday’s game played at Lodi High’s The Inferno.
Alexander Pinasco, along with Eagle teammates Roy Itovichi and Zarebic Humphreys, had five points each. Ryan Ehresman and Josh Alejandre had two points each.

Ryker Henne led the Tigers with 34 points in Monday’s loss, with Uri Penaflor adding 10, Nick Merrill adding nine, Cylas Rileyadding eight, Jorden Lawrence six, A.J. O’Grodnick two and Andrew Gauna one.
Brookside 93, Elliot 44
Mathew Alagna had 15 points for Elliot in Saturday’s Central California Athletic Alliance game at Lodi High’s The Inferno. Caleb Guerzo followed with 14 points, John Weust eight, Peyton Yarbrough four and Mason Jones three.

Lincoln 74, Lodi 36
Dylan Johnson scored 10 points to lead the Flames in Monday’s loss, with eight points from Kevin Dondero, five each from Hayden Moreno, Carter Swicegood and Mason Stout and three from Steven Whiting.
West 37, Tokay 34
Josh Anderson led the Tigers with 10 points in Monday’s loss, along with nine from Majid Khan, seven from Quinn Carter, four from Adrian Charles and two each from Isaiah Cruz-Gee and Umar Rasool.

Lincoln 50, Lodi 44
Brooke Aberle scored 14 points, Ellie Van Tassel had 12 and Aiyana Evans had 11 in Monday’s loss.
Marissa Fabian added four points for the Flames (10-10, 22 TCAL), Calista Morita had two and Veronica Alejandrez had one.
Union Mine 60, Galt 31
Kaya Weaver had 13 points for Galt (0-3 in the Sierra Valley Conference, 9-10) in Friday’s game in El Dorado, which included three 3-pointers. Raina Saldivar followed with nine points for the Warriors, Haley Sanchez four, Casi Gonzalez and Karina Aguilar two each and Julia Baffa one.
Galt only trailed 11-5 after the first quarter. But in the second quarter, Union Mine, the defending SVC champions, leaped to a 21-6 advantage for a 32-11 halftime lead. The Diamondbacks’ Alli McDonald’s, who was the SVC’s MVP last winter, finished with 29 points.

Jenny Corona racked up 19 points in Monday’s victory, while Amara Charles had six, Ahmiene El-Kheiki had five, Zahleyah Miller had three and Yasmeen Ibrahim had one.
Union Mine 47, Galt 21
Nevaeh Pate scored 17 points for Galt in Friday’s SVC game. Sarah Reece and Briannah Pena scored two points each.
Lincoln 36, Lodi 20
Savannah Head led the Flames with six points in Monday’s loss, along with four from Angie Fugazi, three each from Reese Hohenthaner and Annette Vasquez and two each from KayLeigh Coberly and Sophia Alejandrez.
