LUSD to discuss school move, course placement of students
LODI — The Lodi Unified School District Board of Education will discuss timeline options for the Joe Serna Jr. Charter School relocation project during tonight’s meeting.
Options include moving Serna to the Houston School campus in time for the start of the 2019-20 school year, even if portable classrooms are not move-in ready, or leaving Serna at its current campus in Lodi until the portables are ready.
The school board will also discuss course placement for students, including students who are placed in 10th-grade college preparation courses after receiving a grade of D or F in ninthgrade courses.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. today at the James Areida Education Support Center, 1305 E. Vine St., Lodi.
