Zinfinbelles to debut in Downtown Lodi tonight

-

The Zinfinbelles, a new, all-female music project, will make their debut during tonight’s Downtown Lodi Farmers Market inside Scotto’s Wine & Cider.

While it’s their first time performing together, this is not the first time members of The Zinfinbelles have performed at this venue. In fact, they have all performed at Scotto’s dozens of times solo or as parts of other acts.

But Jessica Clements (vocals/keyboards), Kelly Fry (vocals/guitar) and Christine Taunton (vocals/guitar/bass) have been music friends for several years, joining each other on stage for special guest appearances.

“Kelly, Christine and I enjoy all genres of music and love putting our creative touches on each song,” Clements said. “It’s a treat to play and sing with not only talented musicians, but great friends!”

In addition to the Zinfinbelles, with Clements and Fry perform in the band Fish n’ Chicks, and Taunton is a co

founder of the band The Sweet Taunts. Taunton and Clements also perform in the tribute band Mystic Moon — A Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks Experience.

“Performing with Jessica and Christine allows me to be creative and find a shared vision to make each song unique,” Fry said. “I’m also excited to perform some of my original songs as a female trio and bring my personal stories to life in a new way.”

In this new side project, the trio will perform together to showcase their talents as women rock musicians.

Each of The Zinfinbelles brings something different to the group both vocally and musically, serving up three-part harmonies with influences including Linda Perry, Natalie Merchant and Linda Ronstadt.

“This music collaboration is such a sweet blessing and a delight to blend the voices and talents of these beautiful ladies,” Taunton said.

The Zinfinbelles cover a range of pop, classic rock, and country songs from the ’70s to current radio hits by artists like Stevie Nicks, the Cranberries, Katy Perry, Pat Benatar, Lady Gaga, Meghan Trainor and others. They also put their own spin on hits by male artists such as Phil Collins, the Beatles, Prince, the Rolling Stones and Guns n’ Roses.

True to the spirit of music kinship, The Zinfinbelles will be joined by special guests during their debut show, sponsored by Redheads Rock Productions and Scotto’s Wine & Cider.
