Grow­ing and pre­serv­ing berries work­shop planned

LODI — The Univer­sity of Cal­i­for­nia CE Mas­ter Gar­den­ers and Mas­ter Food Pre­servers will be speak­ing about grow­ing and pre­serv­ing blue­ber­ries, rasp­ber­ries, and black­ber­ries on July 8 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lodi Pub­lic Li­brary lo­cated at 201 W. Lo­cust St.

The UCCE Mas­ter Gar­den­ers will fo­cus on teach­ing at­ten­dees about the best va­ri­eties to grow in Cen­tral Val­ley, and how to care for them from the UCCE Mas­ter Gar­den­ers.

The UCCE Mas­ter Food Pre­servers will speak on the dif­fer­ent meth­ods of pre­serv­ing your har­vest so you can en­joy them through­out the year.
