Apollo 11 events to be held on Alameda ship

Alameda — The USS Hor­net Sea, Air and Space Mu­seum is host­ing a Splash­down An­niver­sary Din­ner and Re­cep­tion this evein­ing, cel­e­brat­ing the legacy of the Apollo 11 Re­cov­ery Mis­sion. Meet and dine with the crew­men who were on board the ship when the Apollo 11 re­turned to Earth in 1969.

On Sun­day, the mu­seum will host a USS Hor­net As­so­ci­a­tion Meet-andGreet with crew mem­bers who served on the ship dur­ing its years of ser­vice, in­clud­ing the Apollo 11 and 12 re­cov­er­ies.
