Between the hours of 6:01 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday, the Lodi Police Department received 144 calls for service. The following is a sampling of those calls.
Disturbance: 6:56 a.m. — A city employee said a man took the tires off his or her bicycle in the 0 block of North School Street in an attempt to steal the bike, then ran behind the Thornton House in Downtown Lodi.
Municipal Code Violation: 8:55 a.m. — An employee of a business in the 800 block of South Sacramento Street said a female transient defecated on their work vehicle.
Burglary: 11:11 a.m. — Someone cut the locks to a gate at a business in the 300 block of North Cluff Avenue.
Suspicious circumstance: 2:31 p.m. — A naked woman was seen walking eastbound on the northside of Turner Road near North Mills Avenue. Burglary: 4:39 p.m. — A resident in the 400 block of East Locust Street returned home to find his or her window screen on the ground and his or her window open. Money was taken from the residence.
Weapons: 5:04 p.m. — Two men in a gray Acura threw gang signs at two men standing at South Cherokee Lane and East Vine Street. One of the men was holding a pistol, the other was holding a rifle.
Suspicious circumstance: 8:22 p.m. — A resident in the 300 block of Stanislaus Street said someone called him and said there was an explosive attached to his front door.
Suspicious circumstance: 8:48 p.m. — A resident in the 1300 block of South Mills Avenue heard a loud explosion, possibly a gun shot.
Suspicious circumstance: 1:50 a.m. — A woman in a white jacket was walking westbound in the 1400 block of East Victor Road, setting small fires and yelling.
