Ven­dor robbed dur­ing Delta Col­lege event

STOCK­TON — The San Joaquin Delta Com­mu­nity Col­lege Dis­trict Po­lice Depart­ment is look­ing for a man who robbed a ven­dor dur­ing a cam­pus event last week­end.

Cam­pus po­lice said that at 12:45 p.m. on Satur­day, a man walked up to a ven­dor’s booth at The Mar­ket, re­moved mul­ti­ple items and then walked away.

The vic­tim fol­lowed the rob­ber and de­manded he re­turn the stolen items, po­lice said. The rob­ber al­legedly turned around and bran­dished a large, mil­i­tary-style knife. The vic­tim backed away and the rob­ber fled across South Burke Bradley Road to­ward Tar­get. The prop­erty was re­cov­ered, po­lice said.

The sus­pect was de­scribed as a black or His­panic male in his 30s wear­ing a black base­ball hat, red sweat­shirt and gray sweat­pants. He was also seen rid­ing a gray or white moun­tain bike in the area, po­lice said.
