Cache of weapons, drugs found in two Burson raids
The Calaveras County Narcotics Enforcement Unit and the Calaveras County Probation Office conducted searches of two residences in Burson last week that resulted in the recovery of loaded guns, narcotics and multiple arrests.
The Narcotics Enforcement Unit served a search warrant Thursday at a home in the 12000 block of Cheyenne Drive, where investigators located an AR-15 without a serial number, a loaded shotgun, four loaded handguns, a stun gun and ammunition. Among the narcotics and paraphernalia found were 3.4 pounds of marijuana, 5.2 grams of methamphetamine, 14 meth pipes and other objects linked to drug use.
Joseph Lee Fisher, 42, was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of controlled substances for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of fireworks without a permit and felon in possession of a stun gun. Fisher was booked into the Calaveras County Jail and was released the same day after posting a $85,000 bond.
A second search was conducted Thursday in the 11000 block of Arapaho Drive, where deputies recovered Xanax pills without a prescription, a revolver, ammunition, two meth pipes, 7.3 grams of methamphetamine, 0.7 grams of heroin, loaded syringes containing both heroine and methamphetamine and other items linked to the sale of drugs.
Zachary Day, 31, and Brandy Rachell Felts-Patelzick, 47, were arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail. Day’s supervised release was revoked, and he was charged on suspicion of being a felon possession of ammunition, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of controlled substances and unlawful possession of paraphernalia, and remains in custody with no bail allowed. He is not eligible for the COVID-19 zero bail judicial order.
Felts-Patelzick was transported to the County Jail and booked on suspicion of violation of probation, being a felon in possession of ammunition, possession of controlled substances and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released due to the COVID-19 zero bail judicial order.
