ALICIA LOREDO SALAZAR

Alicia Loredo Salazar passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones on February 8, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. A devoted wife, mother, grandmothe­r, sister and niece, she was born June 16, 1944 in Sebastian, Texas. Alicia moved to California in the mid 50’s then met and married Asencion “John” Salazar in September of 1966 Together they had 6 children that they raised in Woodbridge, California. Alicia is preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Salazar; mother, Aurelia Pereda; and grandmothe­r, Macaria Soto.

Alicia is survived by her husband Asencion “John” Salazar; children, Asencion “John” Salazar JR, Sandra (Jay) Malloy, Edward Salazar, Martin Salazar, Phil (Stacy) Salazar, Simon Salazar; her grandkids, Brian Salazar, Lorraine (Reyes) Gonzalez, Jacque (Jesse) Maxon, Frankie (Lisette) Malloy, Kristina Malloy, Kimberly Malloy, Brandon Salazar, Alison (Henry) Martinez, Amie Salazar, Jordan (Seth) Woodward, Jaime (Brienden) Realph, Grace Salazar and Ava Salazar and her greatgrand­children, Aaliyah, Zoey, Amelia, Aria, Kendall, Payton, Erin, Zaniyah, Breanna, Quinn and Lennox.

She worked for the Lodi Unified School District (LUSD) for more than 25 years as an instructio­nal aide and was loved by her many students and peers. She had a passion for education and really enjoyed working in the classroom helping her students. Her love of gardening is demonstrat­ed by the dozens of roses and other plantings she tended to throughout the years in her garden. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, extended family (Tovar’s and Loredo’s) and her grandkids more than anything.

Donations to the American Cancer Society are appreciate­d.

Due to Covid restrictio­ns, a celebratio­n of life will be held at a later date to be determined.
