Rebecca Renee Blunt Richardson, 44, of Stockton, California, entered eternal rest when she was called home by our Heavenly Father, on February 5, 2022. She was born September 15, 1977, to Stephen and Rochelle Blunt in Stockton, California. She graduated from Lodi’s Tokay High School and received her ADN in nursing from Stockton’s San Joaquin Delta College, and was working as a Registered Nurse for the State of California, Department of Correction­s in Stockton. Previously, she had spent ten years working at Gluskin’s Camera in Lincoln Center.

Rebecca was beautiful, charismati­c, vibrant, eccentric, and full of life. She had a huge heart that was filled with love, kindness, generosity, and empathy for others. Her bright spirit would light up the room, especially with her laugh which cannot be forgotten. She loved taking pictures and capturing special moments. Family was very important to Rebecca. She considered her daughters to be her greatest and most proud accomplish­ment. She said, “They are my miracles. My blessings.” She loved her step-children equally and had strong bonds with them. Her children were her entire world and she was an amazing mother. She home taught the children online, enjoyed family movie nights, and spontaneou­s dance parties with the kids. She loved music and was always singing the song, ‘You are my Sunshine’.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Terrence Richardson; two beloved daughters, Halie Blunt Richardson and Kaia Blunt Richardson; step-children, Micah Richardson, Liam Richardson, Talia Richardson; step-grandson, Grayson; her parent-in-laws, George and Florence Richardson; brotherin-law, Efrem Richardson (Lynn); nephew, Kyrie Richardson; niece, Brianna Richardson; her mother, Rochelle Blunt; brother, Joseph Blunt (Rebecca F.); great-aunt, Dorothy Craven; aunts, Yvonne Brennan (Tom) and Deanna Watson (Bob); cousins, Kelly Barnes (Ken) and family; John Brennan (Susan) and family; Casey Watson and Ryan Watson, as well as numerous friends. Rebecca also shared a very close and special, forty-year, relationsh­ip with the Santos’, whom she considered to be her second family, Roger Santos (Robin), Michelle Burns (Ken), Alicia Santos, Janine Dooley (Greg), and Robert Santos (Rebecca S.). She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Blunt; nephew, Benjamin Blunt; and both sets of maternal and paternal grandparen­ts.

Her family would like to thank everyone for their love, prayers, and support through this difficult time.

A viewing and funeral service will held for Rebecca on February 26, 2022, at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery in Lodi. The viewing will be in the Evergreen Chapel from 9am-12pm, followed by the funeral at 1pm in the Chapel of Flowers at Sierra View Mausoleum (located in the back of Cherokee). “Rebecca will always be our Sunshine, and we will forever carry her memory in our hearts.”
