Somehow, the combination of Justin Bieber and TikTok has dug up a half-confession from one of the most important moments in New England Patriots history — the Tuck Rule play.

Former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady responded to a prompt from the pop star that asked for people to “Tell me something honest.”

Brady responded with a video of his own, completing the TikTok stitch.

“Tuck Rule game against the Raiders ... might have been a fumble,” Brady said, whispering to the camera after “checking” to see if no one was around.

You can check out the TikTok clip here. Meanwhile, in the comments section, the top response is from the Las Vegas Raiders’ official TikTok account, which replied, “I’m sorry what.”

The current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is referring to the famous controversial call during the Patriots’ win over the Raiders in the 2001 Divisional Playoff game against the Raiders. The Patriots hosted the then-Oakland squad in blizzard conditions in what would end up being the final game at old Foxboro Stadium.

Brady, who had taken over for injured starter Drew Bledsoe earlier that season, was attempting to bring the Patriots back in the snowy conditions until he was hit by Raiders star Charles Woodson, who jarred the ball loose. The play appeared to be a fumble. However, it was later ruled an incompletion due to the now-infamous (and since removed) Tuck Rule.

Brady has acknowledged in the past that the play was a bit of good fortune. But usually hasn’t admitted that it could have actually been a fumble.

The cloests Brady has come in recent years was saying it was a “fluke call” in 2021.
