Let federalism prevail

-

Editor: In a recent News-Sentinel a doctor writes that masks are useless and a counterpoint article by a leftwing activist with no medical experience says masks are essential. Gee, I wonder which one I’ll believe?... hmmm.

These who are making decisions out of thin air are bureaucrats. As Reagan said, “The best minds are not in government. If any were, business would hire them away.”

Listen to doctors whose livelihoods don’t depend on government grants to get honest medical opinions.

Another article headline read, “California state leaders promise haven for women seeking abortions.” Who said abortions would be illegal in California or anywhere else in the U.S. if Roe v Wade is overturned? It means decisions on abortion will be decided by the states by the voters of those states instead of nine lawyers in black robes. We the people, not a group of elitists, decide what we want or don’t want. Since abortion is so popular in America, as they claim, what are they worried about? So, California Democrats promising that abortion will still be in effect as if the court’s decision would take away that option is nothing but another lie to whip up people’s emotions for political gain.

Let me type this slowly, this is called federalism which the U.S. is founded upon and has kept it from totalitarian forces such as socialism and communism.
