Couple celebrates 75th wedding anniversar­y

Harold and Bernice Rohrbach of Woodbridge recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversar­y with an open house at the Lodi Eagles Lodge.

The Rohrbachs were born and raised near Eureka, S.D. They were married on April 6, 1947 at Zion Lutheran Church in Eureka S.D. The couple farmed and Harold taught school in a one-room school for four years. Following that, they operated a beer bar and bowling alley.

In September 1953 they moved west to Lodi, where Bernice worked at F&M Bank and then Lodi Unified School District where she retired as lead payroll. Harold worked at various wineries as manager and retired from Victor Fruit Co.

The couple enjoy traveling, dancing, camping, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

The Rohrbachs celebrated their anniversar­y with a meal attended by 100 friends and family. Music was provided by D.J. Dennis Schinke. Bernice gave brief history of their 75 years together.

The Rohrbachs have three children, six grandchild­ren, 17 great grandchild­ren and eight greatgreat grand children.

Guests arrived from Hanford, Redding, Carson City, Reno, Brookings, Chico, Penn Valley, Sacramento, Stockton, Lodi and Woodbridge.
