Michael McKenzie passed away peacefully at home February 5, 2023.

He was born in Richmond, Virgina June 22, 1985 to Margaret and Thomas McKenzie. Moving to Lodi in 1990, he attended Vinewood and Senior Elementary schools, graduating from Tokay High School in 2004. He loved his work at Lowes, Raleys, and Mckenzie Vineyards.

During and after High School, he loved volunteeri­ng with Boy Scout Troop 199, especially with Christmas tree pick ups. He lived for volunteeri­ng with the Lodi Fire Department, especially with the Santa Truck. His favorite pastimes were Nascar, country music, fishing, boating on the Mokelumne River and Lodi Lake. He belonged to Oddfellows, Lodi Elks Lodge, and was a member of St. Ann’s Church. He was a kind soul who loved being with family and friends, helping other people and making more friends.

He was proceeded in death by his grandparen­ts Elizabeth and Cosimo Germinario, Roberta and Donald McKenzie, cousin Alexis McKenzie. He is survived by his parents, Dr. Tom and Meg McKenzie, brother Jeffrey Mckenzie (Nichole), niece Madeline of Dublin, CA brother Jonathan McKenzie of San Carlos, CA, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Viewing/visitation hours are Tuesday, February 14 from 3pm-7pm with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 16 at 10:00am at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Private family interment immediatel­y after. A Celebratio­n of Life will be held Friday, February 17 from 11:30am-1:30pm at Wine and Roses.

In lieu of flowers, Michael’s specific request is for donations to be made to Lodi Fire Foundation, PO Box 898, Woodbridge, CA 95258.
