EVELYN BERG FERGERSON

1940 — 2023

Mrs. Evelyn V. (Berg) Fergerson, daughter of the late Emil Berg and Bertha Ohlhauser Berg passed away on February 2, 2023 after a long illness. She was born June 13, 1940 in San Jose, California. Evelyn moved with her family to the Galt countryside where she participated in the local 4-H club. She graduated from Galt Union High School. After graduation from high school she soon went to work at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento where she stayed until her retirement.

Evelyn married Floyd Leon Fergerson on April 9, 1967 in Lodi, California. They made their home in Sacramento. They were active in a bowling league and favorite activities included camping around Lake Tahoe and Burney Falls, visiting Reno and traveling to Hawaii. Their love of Hawaii took them there 18 times.

Evelyn will be dearly missed by family, cousins, and friends who got to enjoy many BBQ/pool party gatherings with her in their big backyard.

She is survived by her husband Floyd Leon Fergerson of Sacramento, sisters Cynthia Berg Eaton of Elk Grove, Carol Berg Kramlich of Morada, brother-in-laws Austin Eaton, Bob Gouine, Curtis Kramlich, several nieces and nephews and many cousins. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents Emil and Bertha Berg and her sister Arleen Berg Gouine.

Services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at the Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Rd, Sacramento, CA 95838. Visitation is from 10am1pm and service at 1pm. Donations may be made in her name to the ASPCA and the American Cancer Society.
