DENEB CAROLE DAVIS

Daughter of Dr. Allan Lewis and Marion Magdalena Sander, passed away on January 30, 2023.

Born on April 26, 1949 in the Royal Canadian Memorial Hospital located in the Lady Astor Estate in Taplow, England. She was named after the point star, Deneb, in the southern cross, Constellation Cygnus, which was frequently used along with the star Betelgeuse in the constellation Orion for North Atlantic navigation.

Deneb moved back to the United States with her parents who settled in the San Diego region.

As a San Diego resident for years, she married in 1981 and moved to Stockton, California with her family.

She developed a passion for horses at a young age and pursued her dream of becoming an equestrian. Deneb studied the art of dressage, spending years training and showing her many horses including Shetland ponies. She lived on a ranch where she raised her children and cared for her animals. Her love of English architecture and design was implemented throughout her home.

In the latter part of her life, her interest expanded to breeding and training Field-Golden Retrievers. Her dogs were well-known throughout the dog world.

The most important theme in her life was her family .... Our Mother, Deneb was our “light and guide” in this life. We will forever miss her sense of humor, her laugh, and sweet words ....

Deneb was loved by all and will forever be missed ......

She is survived by her three children & family Craig Sander (Melissa) Davis Eric Steven (Kellie) Davis Laura Deneb (Vincent) Davis-Goehner and five grandchildren Ryan Davis, Colton Davis, Josephine Goehner, Camille Davis & Margot Goehner.

She is survived by her brother and sister & family Brother; Al (Ellen) Sander, nephew; Allan and niece; Julia, Sister; Alisa Blessing, Jim McGraw, and nephew; John Blessing.

A private ceremony will be held at sea- Saturday, March 4th, 2023

“Celebration of Life” will be held at the Ranch, Sunday, March 5th, 2023.
