JAMES AND RUTH UNRUH

James Unruh, 96 years old, passed away on March 27, 2023. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 72 years, Ruth Unruh, who passed away at the age of 90 on December 26, 2020. They are survived by their daughter Deborah Cox, son James D. Unruh, son in law Louis Cox, four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

James worked at General Mills in Lodi, Ca. for 33 years in the maintenance department and Ruth worked as a registrar for Lodi High School for many years. After retiring from General Mills, James and Ruth decided to get into the Christmas tree business and started up Jim and Ruths Christmas Tree Farm. They ran this business for over 20 years before deciding to REALLY retire!

They were very strong in their faith of God and their church, Vinewood Community Church, was a very important part of their entire lives. James served as a deacon of the church for many years and Ruth in her earlier years was a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. They were active in church activities and were always willing to help in any way they could.

They are greatly missed, but are now together in heaven enjoying the eternity they devoted their lives to.

The family of James Unruh would like to thank Juan Ramirez and his staff at Diamonds Home Care for the loving and compassionate care given to James during the last 2 years of his life.

A memorial service will be held for James and Ruth Unruh at 11:00 AM on June 3, 2023 at Vinewood Community Church in Lodi, CA.
