Through March 4, vis­i­tors at Philadel­phia’s Franklin In­sti­tute can ex­plore the mys­ter­ies of China’s le­gendary Ter­ra­cotta Army.

Ten of the life-size clay fig­ures, which date back to 210 BC and formed part of a mau­soleum for China’s first em­peror, Qin Shi Huang, are on dis­play dur­ing the sci­ence mu­seum’s “Ter­ra­cotta War­riors of the First Em­peror” ex­hibit.

Also fea­tured are gold or­na­ments, weapons, jade pieces and other ar­ti­facts. // $35;
