In Septem­ber, back-to-back hur­ri­canes tore through the Caribbean, leav­ing a path of de­struc­tion in their wake. Re­ports of near-to­tal de­struc­tion ap­peared in news head­lines, and mes­sages of heart­break and sup­port were swift. Some is­lands could pos­si­bly take years to re­build, but oth­ers bounced back quickly. Much of the Caribbean re­lies on tourism as an eco­nomic driver, and some is­lands will ben­e­fit from see­ing more vis­i­tors.
