In 1924, Marilyn was born in Ferndale, Michigan to Marguerite and Karl Miller. She moved on to Saint Mary’s College in Indiana graduating with a BS in Nursing in 1948. Moving west, she then worked as a nurse in San Francisco for several years before going south to Newport Beach to work with her father at Miller Chevrolet. She spent many wonderful years in Newport Beach as an active member of the Beachcombers Club. An adventurous spirit, she and a friend took the trip of a lifetime during this period with a six-month driving tour of Europe.

Introduced by friends, Marilyn married Jack in 1962 and moved to Palos Verdes where they spent most of their life together. While raising her children, she was an active member of the Saint John Fisher Catholic Church congregation enjoying time spent with friends from Guild 10. Another passion of hers was involvement in various roles supporting the Saint Mary’s College Alumnae Club of Los Angeles. A life-long Notre Dame football fan, she enjoyed several trips to South Bend to cheer on the Irish. Marilyn and Jack also enjoyed many European and domestic trips. Whether with family or friends, Marilyn was a great host always bringing people together with a twinkle in her eye and an infectious laugh.

She is survived by her three children: John Kronenberg (Charissa), Karl Kronenberg (Nanette), Katy Penna (Jerome), and seven grandchildren. Roman Catholic Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 24th, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of the Risen Christ, Holy Spirit Cemetery, Culver City. Funeral mass will also be available via Zoom.
