We are saddened to announce the passing of Martha Colleen Dolby on July 12, 2022 in Wilsonvill­e, OR. She is remembered as a woman who was filled with abiding love for family and friends. The love and light of Christ’s teachings showed through her words and actions.

Martha Dolby was born in Los Angeles May 15, 1927 to Walter and Grace Bollenbach­er. She attended Beverly Hills schools and graduated from Beverly Hills High School and University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She met and later married W. H. “Harry” Dolby on April 9, 1949 in Beverly Hills. They spent 68 years together before he passed away in 2017.

Martha taught school for two years in Santa Ana before retiring to raise her children. They moved to Fullerton in 1957 where she was active with her children in their activities, National Charity League, National PTA, and PEO. She was a member of PEO for 67 years. She was active in National Charity League and believed in giving back to the community. Harry and Martha moved to Wilsonvill­e, OR in 2004.

She lived a deeply religious life which included, Elder in the First Presbyteri­an Church of Fullerton, as well as attending Lake Grove Presbyteri­an in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Martha attended bible study classes most of her life and became a certified teacher for Bethel. Bible study was an important part of her life right up to the end.

Martha enjoyed traveling. From 1986 to 1999 Martha and Harry traveled the world. They visited many countries with family and friends, making more friends along the way.

Martha died after a year-long battle with cancer. She is survived by daughters Jeanne Rohlf (Robert), Susan Braunz, Ellen Wittwer (Robert) and son, Jeffrey Dolby (Linda). She had 8 grandchild­ren, and 12 greatgrand­children. A private gathering is planned.
