LANG, Shirley M

January 16, 1920 - August 17, 2022

-

Shirley Lang, née Rosenberg, died peacefully after a beautiful life of 102 years. Born in Chicago, she never lost her love for the Windy City. Shirley married Ray Lang, the love of her life, on Jan. 21,1940. They settled in Los Angeles after Ray returned from U.S. Army service in France and Germany during WWII. Shirley, the consummate volunteer, spent years working for the Reiss-Davis Child Study Center and for various political campaigns. She was a skilled chef and a passionate golfer who once scored a hole in one in Palm Desert, Calif. (and saved the ball to prove it). Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Gary Lang (Ruth Pastine); her daughter, Karen Harwitt (Marc Harwitt), and grandchildren David Harwitt, Brian Harwitt, Chance Lang and Sage Lang. May her memory be a blessing. A private service will be held Sunday, Aug. 21, at Hillside Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
