Two-time Emmy winner Loretta Swit (head nurse Maj. Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan) has had only one acting credit since 1998, but offscreen Swit, 84, has written books on needlepoint and watercolor painting and is a longtime animal activist. And fan-favorite Burghoff, who originated the character of kind-hearted company clerk Radar in the movie and played him in eight seasons of the series, is an inventor—he owns patents for a special fishing pole and a toilet-seatlifting handle!
