Bomb burritos

-

> After four years as a roving pop-up, some of L.A.’s best breakfast burritos have a bricksand-mortar home in Hollywood. Owner Matt Stevanus opened Lowkey Burritos in the former Bestie’s space as a walkup window for breakfast and lunch, serving packed burritos with the option of coating the exterior in griddled shredded cheese. The restaurant offers new options such as $5 smaller burritos and savory breakfast bowls; with retooled pop-up specials, such as the crunchwrap, now permanent menu items. 5940 W. Kitchen kits

Lauded pop-up Starry Kitchen stopped serving food at Button Mash in 2020 due to the pandemic. Chefs and founders Nguyen Tran and Thi Tran have brought back one of Starry Kitchen’s signature items for home re-creation. Through Shin Starry Kitchen, the chefs are selling frozen meal kits for their acclaimed garlic noodles. Pickups of online orders are in timed slots at Little Fatty in Mar Vista on Saturdays and Crème Caramel in Sherman Oaks on Sundays. shin starrykitchen.com
