STYLES’ STEAMY THRILLER
Grammy-winning singer Harry Styles follows up his impressive acting debut in
Dunkirk with his leading role debut alongside Florence Pugh in the sexy psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling (Sept. 23 in theaters), directed by Styles’ girlfriend, Olivia Wilde. In the film, Jack (Styles) and Alice (Pugh) are an apparently happy couple in an experimental, utopian community of the 1950s—until Alice suspects her husband’s company might be hiding some disturbing secrets. Wilde, 38, describes the film as
“The Feminine Mystique on acid,” inspired by a meeting with feminist icon Gloria Steinem. Styles, 28, the former One Direction singer, cautions that the movie—and its steamy bedroom scenes—might be a bit too spicy for some of his younger fans, calling it “a really nice opportunity for me to get very much out of my comfort zone.”
