A win here would move South Korea a big step closer to the second round for just the second time in five World Cups. Ghana, the lowest-ranked team in the tournament, threw a late scare into Portugal, scoring in the final minute of regulation to turn what appeared to be a comfortable win into a 3-2 nail-biter with only a slip by Inaki Williams while trying to score on a scramble in front of the net 10 minutes into stoppage time allowing the Selecao to escape with the three points.
