Adams’ late score helps Kansas edge Iowa State

KJ Adams scored in the paint, breaking a tie with less than 12 seconds left, and No. 2 Kansas held off No. 14 Iowa State 62-60 in Lawrence, Kan.

Iowa State had a last shot to win, but Caleb Grill’s three-point attempt caromed off the rim at the buzzer.

The game commemorat­ed 125 years of Kansas basketball, with more than 160 former players, coaches and staff at Allen Fieldhouse. Kansas was led by Gradey Dick with 21 points.

Gabe Kalscheur scored 23 points for the Cyclones.

Kentucky 63, at No. 5 Tennessee 56:

Antonio Reeves scored 18 points and Oscar Tshiebwe had 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Wildcats past the Volunteers. Kentucky showed a physical presence and dominated Tennessee on the boards.

at Oregon 87, No. 9 Arizona 68:

Jermaine Couisnard scored 27 points in his first start of the season as the Ducks beat the Wildcats. Senior center N’Faly Dante added 22 points and 10 rebounds for Oregon. Kylan Boswell scored 15 points to

pace the Wildcats.

at No. 10 Texas 72, Texas Tech 70:

Marcus Carr scored 20 points, Sir’Jabari Rice added 18 and the Longhorns rallied in the second half, halting the Red Raiders’

four-game win streak on Texas’ home court.

at No. 17 Texas Christian 82, No. 11 Kansas State 68:

Emanuel Miller scored 23 points, Eddie Lampkin Jr. had a season-high 17 with several key inside baskets and the Horned Frogs ended the Wildcats’ nine-game winning streak.

at Vanderbilt 97, No. 15 Arkansas 84:

Tyrin Lawrence scored 22 points as the Commodores rallied from a 10-point deficit in the second half to beat the Razorbacks and snap a twogame skid.

at North Carolina State 83, No. 16 Miami 81 (OT):

Ernest Ross scored a goahead putback in traffic with 33 seconds left in overtime and the Wolfpack made a pair of late stops to hold off the Hurricanes.

at Indiana 63, No. 18 Wisconsin 45:

Trayce JacksonDav­is had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Jalen HoodSchifi­no added 16 points as the Hoosiers won for the first time in three weeks and ended a three-game skid.

at Creighton 73, No. 19 Providence 67:

Ryan Kalkbrenne­r scored 13 of his 21 points in the final 15 minutes and the Bluejays ended the Friars’ nine-game win streak.

New Mexico 76, at No. 23 San Diego State 67:

Jaelen House scored 29 points and Jamal Mashburn Jr. added 22 to lead the Lobos to the upset win against the Aztecs.

at Clemson 72, No. 24 Duke 64:

PJ Hall scored 26 points and Brevin Galloway had 17, including a threepoint­er that put Clemson ahead for good.

Antoine Davis of Detroit Mercy set the NCAA record for career three-pointers, hitting a career-best 11 and scoring a season-high 41 points in an 87-75 win over Robert Morris and raising his career total to 513, eclipsing the prior record of 509 by Fletcher Magee of Wofford from 2014 to ’19.
