Arizona fends off Oregon St. in OT

Kyle Fogg had 23 points and scored on a hard drive in overtime that nearly set off a brawl, lifting Arizona to a hard-fought 81-73 win over Oregon State on Thursday night at Tucson.

Oregon State forced overtime after Ahmad Starks scored 10 of his 14 points in the final 3 minutes 16 seconds of regulation. Arizona took control in overtime, going up by six after a rebound slam by Nick Johnson and Fogg’s drive with 1:15 left.

Fogg ran into Oregon State’s Jared Cunningham while celebratin­g the basket, setting off a near melee that had players from both teams pushing one another.

Arizona’s Kyryl Natyazhko and Oregon State’s Joe Burton were ejected for leaving the bench. Fogg fouled out after being hit with a technical foul and Cunningham was gone after getting personal and technical fouls. at Stanford 68, Utah 65: Josh Huestis scored all 13 of his points in the second half to lead Stanford. Cedric Martin hit a three-pointer with 20 seconds remaining to bring the Utes within 6663, but the Utes missed two chances at tying the score in the final seconds. The teams combined to go six of 26 from the foul line. at California 57, Colorado 50: Harper Kamp scored on a baseline layup with 49.7 seconds left and Allen Crabbe made three late free throws for California. Cal’s two leading scorers, Crabbe and Jorge Gutierrez, went four of 26 from the floor. Oregon 67, at Arizona State 58: Devoe Joseph scored 15 points to lead four Oregon players in double figures. Trent Lockett scored a season-high 23 points for Arizona State.
