Putting them over the top?
Those who think Miami’s collection of talent is almost unfair were probably cringing at the thought of the Heat acquiring another All-star, giving it more superheroes than Marvel comics. Phoenix point guard
Steve Nash said on “The Dan Patrick Show” this week that he would be open to the possibility of playing alongside Lebron James,
Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh after becoming a free agent this summer.
“I’m not coming back to the Suns if there isn’t improvement,” Nash told Patrick.
Asked about the possibility of James lobbying him to join the Heat, Nash said, “I would listen. He’s phenomenal. I love what they’re doing there. A lot of people don’t like them because they put all that talent there. But they’re professional, they play hard, they play together.”
One potential sticking point: Miami won’t have any salary-cap room, so the best contract it could offer the eight-time All-star would be the mid-level exception.
But Nash is certainly mindful of another number: his age. At 38, he probably doesn’t have many more chances to win a title. Joining Miami just might put the odds in his favor.

Somebody tweeted this week from the handle Lakersmikebrown, but it wasn’t the Lakers’ Mike
Brown.
The rogue tweeter, no doubt inspired by Brown’s benching of All-stars Kobe
Bryant and Andrew Bynum, sent out a message saying, “I would bench Barack O’bama, the Dali Lama and Jesus.”
Brown, who said he has never tweeted and insisted he won’t start now, seemed amused by it all. He laughed when informed that Lakers small forward
Metta World Peace had weighed in with his own series of tweets: “If I was mike brown [sic] I would bench Metta world peace and bring in Ron Artest” and “If I was mike brown I would bench Ron artest and cut Metta world peace.”
The fake Brown account was quickly shut down, though it generated enough followers to give the coach bragging rights in the battle with his son Elijah for social media supremacy.
“I can’t wait until I get home because he has a Twitter account and I have someone who follows his Twitter account for me,” Brown said. “So he always wants to get all these extra followers. I’m going to tell him I started a Twitter account in three days and had over 800. I’m better than you.”

Too bad somebody didn’t ask Van Gundy how many Charlotte has.
