FOR THE RECORD

-

Jail population: An article in the July 10 Section A about the Los Angeles County sheriff ’s search for other locations to house inmates said that more than 5,000 state inmates had been moved to L.A. County jails in recent months. In referring to the county’s early release policy, the article should have made clear that while the county does release some inmates before their sentences are completed, prisoners held under the state’s realignment plan serve 100% of their jail terms.

“Bol Bachchan”: A review of the Indian film “Bol Bachchan” in the July 9 Calendar section said that the movie did not have a rating from the Motion Picture Assn. of America. In fact, the film has been rated PG for sequences of action violence, thematic elements and brief mild language.

Stanton: An article in the June 25 LATExtra section about fiscal problems in Stanton said that there are no “fancy restaurants” in the small Orange County city. Stanton is home to ParkAve on Beach Boulevard, which is considered one of Orange County’s finer restaurants.
