at Wyoming 56, UC Santa Barbara 40: Leonard Washington spurred a second-half surge by the Cowboys and finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds as Wyoming stayed unbeaten. Washington scored his team’s first eight points after intermissi­on, helping erase a 25-24 deficit and allowing Wyoming (12-0) to match the school record for victories to begin a season. Alan Williams had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Kyle Boswell had 13 points for the Gauchos (4-7). Cal State Northridge 76, at Utah 71: Stephan Hicks had 19 points and nine rebounds and Landon Drew had 19 points off the bench as the Matadors (9-3) overcame a 21-point halftime deficit. Jordan Loveridge led all scorers with 24 points and Jarred DuBois had 17 points and seven assists for the Utes (7-4), who frittered away the 48-27 edge at the break.

UC Davis 78, at USC 69: Michael Cooper was suspended by USC and didn’t coach after the school said he committed an NCAA secondary violation involving the use of an ineligible player in practice. Associate head coach Daron Park oversaw the Trojans (3-6) in their fourth consecutiv­e loss. Sydnee Fipps scored 22 points and Cortney French added 20 for the Aggies (4-4). Cooper will return this afternoon against No. 4 Duke (9-0), which defeated Cal State Bakersfiel­d, 97-63, in the second game at the Galen Center.
