-

Amid a disappointing season, Johnson Wagner has found a comfort zone not far from his college stamping grounds.

Wagner shot a six-under 64 Saturday to take a twostroke lead after the third round of the Greenbrier Classic at White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.

Wagner was at 14 under on the Old White TPC course. Jimmy Walker also shot 64 and was second at 12 under.

Wagner has yet to post a top 10 finish this year. At the Greenbrier, he broke a string of seven consecutive early exits.

No third-round leader has gone on to win the Greenbrier Classic, now in its fourth year. The tournament has been decided by playoffs the past two years, and Stuart Appleby shot 59 in the final round to win by a stroke in 2010.

Sweden’s Jonas Blixt was four strokes behind Wagner at 10 under after shooting 67. Australians Matt Jones (66) and Steven Bowditch (69) and Texas teenager Jordan Spieth (67) were at nine under.

Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland and Richard Sterne of South Africa share a one-stroke lead after three rounds of the French Open at Saint-Quentin-enYvelines.

McDowell shot a oneunder 70 and Sterne had a 71 on the tough Albatross course of Le Golf National, leaving both at five-under 208.

Bernd Wiesberger of Austria (68), David Howell of England (69) and Richard Green of Australia (70) were at 209. Soren Kjeldsen of Denmark and Simon Dyson of England were at 210.

Francesco Molinari of Italy had the day’s best round, a 67 that left him four shots back. Second-round leader Fabrizio Zanotti of Paraguay fell to 214 after a 78.

Martin Kaymer of Germany, Ian Poulter of England and Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain are part of a five-way tie at 213.

Butler announced it was promoting recently hired assistant coach Brandon Miller to replace Brad Stevens as head coach of the men’s basketball team. The decision came three days after Stevens surprised everyone by taking the head job with the Boston Celtics.

Usain Bolt ran the fastest 200 meters of the season Saturday with a time of 19.73 seconds at the Areva Diamond League meet in Paris.

Bolt shaved 0.01 seconds off the previous best time of 2013, set by American sprinter Tyson Gay at the U.S. trials last month.

Lionel Messi gave fans a show with four goals to lead his all-star team to a 9-6 victory in the Messi & Friends Versus the Rest of the World soccer exhibition.

Messi played into the 69th minute and left the game to a mixture of cheers and boos from the 25,000 fans at Soldier Field.

The game was the only U.S. appearance in a series of fundraisers for Messi-affiliated charities.
