THE BERMUDA ‘PINK SALE’

- — Mary Forgione

Bermuda is having a “pink sale” at some of its top hotels. The “pink” isn’t for Valentine’s Day but for the pale shade of its sandy beaches. The islands are usually a winter draw for East Coasters (especially with this year’s freezing temps), but anyone can cash in on rooms that cost as little as $105 a night. The booking window closes this week for stays through April 30.

The deal: Eight hotels (listed in info below) are participating in the pink sale, which takes up to half off the hotel’s best available rates. You must reserve by Thursday for stays from Tuesday through April 30. Some hotels have blackout dates and may require minimum stays, including Grotto Bay Beach Resort, which has a three-night minimum. I found availability for $105 a night, excluding tax and fees, from Feb. 14-18 for a room with a patio overlooking the water. Standard rate on the same nights is $209.
