Raptors end 16-game drought against Heat

Kyle Lowry scored 19 points Friday night, and the Toronto Raptors beat Miami for the first time in more than five years, ending a 16game skid against the Heat with a 102-92 victory in Toronto.

DeMar DeRozan scored 18 points and Lou Williams had 14 for the Raptors, whose last victory over Miami was a 111-103 home win on Jan. 27, 2010. Chris Bosh, now with Miami but out for the season after experienci­ng a blood clot in his lung, had 24 points and 18 rebounds for Toronto in that game.

The Heat’s longest win streak against any opponent is 17 games against Milwaukee (1993-97).

at Denver 114, Golden State 103: Kenneth Faried had 24 points and 17 rebounds, and the Nuggets got past a Warriors team that rested four key players, including its top two scorers, guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Center Andrew Bogut and key reserve Andre Iguodala also got the night off, and Marreese Speights served a onegame suspension after pleading no contest to reckless driving.

at Oklahoma City 113, Minnesota 99: Russell Westbrook logged his sixth triple-double in eight games and scored 15 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter, helping the Thunder pull away. Westbrook checked out with 2:13 to play, seemingly a rebound short of the feat, but a scoring change gave him his 10th rebound to go with 12 assists.

at Charlotte 101, Chicago 91: Gerald Henderson scored 20 points, and the Hornets erased a 19-point first-half deficit to hand the injuryridd­led Bulls their fourth loss in five games.

Atlanta 96, at Phoenix 87: Paul Millsap had 23 points and nine rebounds for the Hawks, who sprang to life in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Suns, 31-14.

at Portland 118, Detroit 99: Damian Lillard had 28 points, and the Trail Blazers handed the Pistons their ninth straight loss.

at Philadelph­ia 114, Sacramento 107: Robert Covington scored 24 points and the 76ers overcame an 18-point third-quarter deficit. The Kings, who got 39 points and a career-high 24 rebounds from DeMarcus Cousins, are 22-42, ensuring a ninth straight losing season.

at Boston 95, Orlando 88: Evan Turner scored 16 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter and the Celtics erased an 11-point deficit to hand the Magic a 10th straight road loss.
