Steelers keep Roethlisberger in tow
Pittsburgh Steelers franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger agreed to a five-year contract Friday that will keep him with the team for the rest of the decade and probably the rest of his career.
Financial details were not immediately available, but Roethlisberger’s new contract replaced the eight-year, $102-million deal he signed in 2008. Roethlisberger originally had a base salary of $11.6 million with a cap hit of $18.35 million for 2015. The Steelers also signed running back DeAngelo Williams to a two-year contract.
